I thought I had this figured out. At a high bit rate you hit the 4GB mark at about this point.
I am still using WIN98SE.
I am capturing at 4000 vbr and everything stops in this time frame, even with only 2.9 GB mpg file.
I am using the DVC II card and TWNH to capture. I am trying to make a backup copy of a DVD by playing and capturing (vob files total 6 GB plus so digital copying won't fit). Resulting quality is still great.
This worked last week recording a 2 hour show off the air.
Anyone know the secret ??

VFW video for windows has a bug in it that causes this
since M$ has quit support for VFW
if your card uses VFW that could be the culprit -
Thanks for the replies.
I found a work-around, so it becomes an academic question for me.
Using TWNH I can capture 8 - 15 minute segments and use the video editor in Moviestar to glue together the 8 mpeg files into one two hour 3.9GB mpeg file. By using 720 x 480 during capture I am then set up for rapid processing by Dazzle's DVD Complete.
