hoping someone can help...
while using virtualDub 1.4.13 (build 14328/release-P4), with ATI Wonder TV VE,
couple of problems:
when i open VirtualDub, click File, click capture AVI...,instead of seeing the
picture, i have a blue screen, with flickering black snow, and in order to correct
this, i must click Video, click Source, and under Capture Source tab, i select a
Video Source (Video Tuner), then below that, click on TV Tuner button, and
on the TV/Tuner Property Page, change the default channel from 4 to 3.
is there some way of changing the default channel so that it is always 3, instead of
having to change it manually each time i start VirtualDub?

also, when i try to capture video with VirtualDub:
the first time i capture video, no problems; sound/picture, both good.
when i leave capture mode, and then go back to capture mode, i have to turn the
speaker volume to the maximum and even then i can BARELY hear any sound,
and the only way i have found to get the sound back is to
do a reboot, which is quite aggravating.

after the sound is gone, when i try to load the ATI Multimedia Centre 7.1 TV Viewer,
the software that came with the card, i get an error that says :

Unable to start TV
The TV player failed to initialize the video.
Ensure the correct video drivers have been isstalled and close
any applications which may be playing video such as DVD or WebTV before
attempting to restart TV.

again, the only way i have found to get the sound back is to do a reboot.

i am sure there is a driver conflict somewhere, but not knowing alot about such
things, i sure would appreciate some help.
