  1. I installed DVD Maestro 2.9 and found out that "Real Time Preview functionality will not be available because no decoders have been detected". I already had WinDVD installed on my system but went ahead and installed Cinemaster 2000 Player for Maestro. During installation I specified to install just the codec and not the whole player. Maestro started functioning properly after the codec was installed. But then I found out that WinDVD was not working anymore. So, I went ahead and re-installed WinDVD to find that Maestro's Real Time Functionality was lost.

I've been happy with WinDVD and I wonder if there is a way to get it and Cinematic 2000 Player to work without conflict? If there is no way, then I should only use the Cinematic Player. So, how good is this player compared to WinDVD?

Thanks in advance for any information.

I like Power DVD much better than the Cinemaster 2000 player. I have both on my box with Maestro, but don't know if there's a conflict since I'm not using Maestro. I'll check it out on the weekend.

  3. I have Power DVD too but haven't installed it. It came with my DVD burner I believe. I'll install it and see what happens. Thanks for the tip.

  4. I did install Power DVD and CineMaster 2000 player. I had to install CineMaster last for it to work. They seem to get along fine. Interestingly, I am able to play the same MPG2 file on both of them simultaneously and they don't seem to mind. Maestro is happy too.
