  1. I have the following question, can anyone tell if it is possible to write to different movies (dvd format and files created) on 1 dvd. As i understand the folder name to put the movie in should always by video_ts so i've created two of these folders with the needed files in it. But because the foldernames are the same i can't just burn them on a dvd. So can anyone tell me if it's possible and if yes how?

  2. You could try making a menu at the begining and have 1 or 2 pointing to either of the movies.

  3. how should i create the menu, should i place only the menu in a video_ts folder and rename the video_ts folder of the two movies? And what reference should i give the menu to find the first and second movie?

This is not as hard as it sounds.

If the movie doesn't have to have VOBS and such.

Make both movies DVD quality MPEG2

Now use something like ULEAD DVD MOVIE (29 dollars I think) and select author menus

    Give it both MPEGS

Create the background for the menu and it automatically creates the two selectable windows.

Burn. You now have two on one disk. You are limited by space though.

  5. the way you describe i guess should also work with pinnacle studio 8?, then the following question, the two movies it's about also contain there own menu's, can i still keep them or should i create one new menu for the total film. And how do i convert from vob files back to mpeg, the original files have been deleted.

Just use SMARTRIPPER agains them as if they were a DVD .

I ASSUME they are in a VIDEO_TS folder ? USe smartripper and the DVDtoDVDR guide...But please note, you WILL lose the menu's. It will give you an M2V (video) and a AC3 or WAV file for sound using that method.

You can also use SMARTRIPPER in the normal method for use with DVD2AVI. Feed to TMPG and create two MPEG2 files (if you have the MPEG 2 plugin)

I know this seems like a round about way, but you want to get from NEW york To Europe by way of california so.......LOL
