    I am getting a dvdburner for christmas and i was wondering is it possible to burn multiple VCDs/SVCDs to a dvd-r disc. For example, put Drowning Mona, Independence Day, and Happy Gilmore as SVCDs on one disc and still play in my dvd player?

    No, you cannot burn vcd or svcd on dvd. You can convert to compliant dvd format though

    www.vcdhelp.com/svcddvdr
    both methods requires a bit of work and to convert several vcd/svcd would probably not be worth it.
