I am new to all this and have a Pioneer 105 DVD writer. I also have the entire stargate series with each episode in avi format.
I know I can convert each episode to an mpg and burn as a VCD on CR-R medium, but what I want to do is use DVD-R media to store more than one episode which I can watch through my stand alone DVD player which supports the likes of VCD and SVCD.
Can anyone help me to basically get all these episodes onto DVD-R.

yes there are information on vcdhelp.com that has tutorials to make DVD-VCD, I mean all you have to understand is that u reencode the file to vcd and change the frequency to 48khz and then put it in most DVD players that can play VCDs okay, peace out
