  1. Hi guy's. I've been doing this sort ofg thing for abaout a year now so I'm not a newbie as such but I've got a problem doing NTSC Stuff. I bought a very good copy of Mr Deeds on SVCD ( 2 discs). What I tried to do is convert them to DVD-R using the TMPEGEnc guide shown on this site. It all encodes ok but when I play the finished DVD-R on my DVD player, the sound stutters/glitches as if there is a loose sound wire somewhere (you know what I mean don't you) Obviously there isn't really a wire loose but I can't seem to fix the problem. I ripped the two disc to the hard drive and multiplexed them using TMPEGEnc to make one big MPEG. Then I encoded the MPEG to the standard DVD NTSC template using the wizard to a file size of 3500MB. Then I demuxed the 2 streams and encoded the audio stream from .MP2 to .AC3 using BeSweet 1.4 ( I think I did it right) and then authored it all using IfoEdit, then created an image and burned it usin both Nero and RecordNow Max. Hope I've given enough info for you to help me. It's probably something to do with Pulldown but like I said I haven't really had to deal with NTSC before and am quite stuck.
    Thanx for any help.
    Jimmy

    Let me get this straight,
You bought an retail version that movie in a SVCD format?

If you really had to pay for it why did you not buy the DVD version?

SVCD to DVD can be done without re-encoding, but is a pain.

  5. This guide talks about SVCD to DVD:
    http://www.vcdhelp.com/mpeg2tovcd.htm

The guide does not mention that you can add
the two AVSEQ01.MPG from the two discs in DVD2AVI.
Remember to use show All Files(*.*)

If you have two CD drives in your PC you do not even have to
copy one of them to the HD.

But you need to keep the disc in at all time as the .d2v is just a
    pointer to the real files.

Ofcource the final movie will only be SVCD quility
even if you use a 6000kbs bitrate.
