I have selected the VCD settings in DVD2SVCD and the resulting VCD plays fine in WinDVD on my laptop. However, when I try to play the VCD in my portable VCD player (Panasonic SL-VP30), all I'm getting is a blue screen even though the player recognize the tracks and track lengths and act as if it is playing the disc. This VCD player is VCD 2.0 compatible.

I found that if I use Adaptec Video CD Creator to add the mpg file created during the DVD2VCD process and author a simple VCD, it plays fine in the portable player. However, I would lose any chaptering function on the VCD.

It looks to me Adaptec Video CD Creator process the mpeg file a bit before adding it to the VCD. Is there any way to achieve the same result with DVD2SVCD (VCDXBuild?).

Also, in the manual/remote of my VCD player it references a Video Index function for jumping to scenes within chapters. Can this be achieved in the DVD2VCD process?

Thanks in advance!
