I just bought a winTV Go FM for $50 canadian, but I'm having a problem capturing audio. In every capture program I try, the audio is always being recieved from the microphone, rather than from the line-in. At first I wondered why the audio was so low and of bad quality, but then I figured out it was saving the audio being played out through my speakers and into my microphone.
I've connected all the wires properly, The composite tv signal from cable, connected to tv composite in. the WinTV go's audio out goes to my computers audio in.
When watching tv (using the WinTV application) the sound comes from the line-in. (when I change the line-in volume from windows, the volume changes). The only problem is when I capture a show, the audio comes from the microphone, not the line-in.
Can anyone help me with this? I know I could just attach the line-out from the Win-TV to my computers mic jack, but then I couldn't use my mic, or control the tv volume from the wintv application. Is there some kind of software-way to fix this problem?
I'm running a 850mhz duron with 320mb ram
My soundcard is built-in to the VIA motherboard.

Nevermind, I managed to solve my problem on my own. It turns out the system volume has a recording section where you can select the audio source.
