  1. This is possible rite, cause ive done a few of them, now i am running into problems and i dont know if im doin something wrong.Im tryin to convert Kiss Of the Dragon to a one cd VCD with the template from here that ive been using.

I set it all up and get my CBR set to about 834bitrate and audio at 192. The movie is 640x272 @ 23.976 fps and 1hr38mins long(which i cut the credits out to save time)and i want to convert it to NTSC 29.976fps.

The Stream is set to non standard.I set my source according to the one cd template and choose interlace, bottom field first, 1:1 vga as source. I have the video tab for my output set to mpeg 1,352x240,4:3 525 line(ntsc),29.97fps. Next i choose the media which is an 80 min cd and i set up the thing to 100%. The projected file size is under 700mbs but when it finishes its over a GB. The same thing happend in another movie too. I dont know wut im doin wrong. Is there anyone that has a suggestion. Ive done about 5 movies this way and have all worked out but now these last two movies have not.

  2. I would be tempted to say it's because you converted it to 29.970 FPS, but anyways, most DivX sources are so so, and CBR 1150kbps VCDs already even wors, so VCD at even lower bitrates.... I just hope you know what you're gonna get out of it.

  4. if its the one disc template your using, open up the wizard in tmpgenc and let it handle the settings.i use the one disc method all the time and dont have any problems. if the movie is over say 1 3/4 hours long i encode it in 2 halves getting a higher than standard vcd bitrate and therefore superb quality
