Since a long time I've had recorded with my capture card(Pinnacle Studio DC10+)from my VCR(VHS tape) with no problem (I use NTSC System). In time: it's a good capture card.
Well, yesterday, for the first time I did try record direct from my TV(NTSC System too) and the software that came with the capture card opens a dialog-window: "I CAN'T LOAD". I didn't get capture nothing and imediatelly my PC freeze and I need reset it. What's wrong?
    Tks for help me.

  3. Look, one solution could be to update all the software: Studio DC10+ (www.pinnaclesys.com), DirectX(somewhere in microsoft) and the drivers of your video card (Nvida, Vodooo, ...).

    Maybe some registries were modified.

  5. r_macfarland,

I believe you are using a fairly current version of TMPG?
like say one that's after version d, correct?
I experienced this problem a long time ago, to fix it, you can do one of 2 things,
    1) use tmpg d, I find that it works really well,
    2) open the tmpg version you are currently using, click on the option menu, goto environment settings, and click on the tab "VFAPI", and give your avi's a higher priority,
this should solve the no video question......however......I found when doing this tmpg would not encode like the last 5% of my videos......

so, all in all, I would recommend the first option
hope I was able to help

    Trifu,

    1) Options/Environmental Settings/ click VFAPI plug-in TAB
    2) right click "AVI VFW..." and select "Higher priority". Keep doing this till it's at top!

You should now be able to see your video in TMPGEnc's window and be able
to encode (and see video in the .mpg file).

    Good luck!
