O.k here is my problem.
I have captured with Avermedia EZ DVD Maker and neoDVD standard 4 from a vhs to produce an MPEG2 as this is nice and simple.
I now require to convert to SVCD and have used TmpgEnc to do it as follows
1.Use MPEG Tools to simple demux
2.Used wizard to do SVCD PAL leaving everything default except smooth block noise.
3.Run encoding
4.Simple mux also changing to MPEG-1 Video cd
The results are fine but if I try and alter the source range to do a test on a section and then encode, the audio is out a whacking 25seconds. I suspect in view of the large difference that I have incomplete understanding of how the source range works. I have spent a long time looking at posts and guides on your site and still cant see where I have gone wrong. I have change audio to Wav but made no difference.
I suspect that I am using the wrong combination of audio and video as I can edit the encoded result with MPEG tools merge and cut and so can fit onto several CDs but I need to use the audio advance/retard in source range as I have small sound delay of approx 40ms and also use it to test small sections of capture .
Any ideas?
Thanks
