  1. Hi all,

I am trying to use the above drive to burn some SVCD.

I use VCDEASY to make an ISO SVCD, I can mount the ISO and use Powerdvd to play the disk, thats fine.

so I burn the ISO with Nero (I have tried VCDEASY aswell), once completed I try and play back the finalised CD (no errors reported during burn) and all I get is horrible blocks everywhere, its like the blocks you get from satellite TV during a heavy rain downpour. PowerDVD cant handle this and crashes. I tried to play the disk on a standalone DVD player (VCD compliant) to no avail.

The drive I have has been reported to work on the supported list for VCDEASY.

The drive is a 2x SCSI drive, is the drive just too old ?

    Cheers.

I had exactly the problems you detailed.

I have not tried using this drive with CDRDAO / VCDEasy, but it will burn the CUE/BIN images correctly with CDRWin. Perhaps you should give that a try.

    Best regards.
