    I`m currently running a cctv camera via my tv downstairs and up to my pc`s tv card to record with powervcr2.

    Ideally i`d like some software that can overlay a time and date stamp when it records. Basically powervcr2 is way too cumbersome and don`t do what i really need it to do.

    Has anyone heard of any software what will do what i need?

    i dont know of any software to do it in real time (after the fact yes)-- but a hardware solution is real cheap .. you can get txt, time , date overlay inserters for less than $100 ....

    check out security hardware companies ...
