NTSC4.43 Problems

My DV500 have problems when capture vidoe format NTSC4.43 . The movies have no color (black & white). I try to setting every thing with premier but it does not work . Could you help me to solve these problem.Thank you

It seems like your capture system settings doesnt fit with your actual video footage.

Are you trying to capture from a PAL source when the settings in premiere are set to NTSC 4.43 ?


Make sure the source you want to capture is ntsc, then set the settings in premiere to ntsc system, otherwise it'll be black and white..


I dont have DV500 but Im thinking about getting the US version in a week. I also have many PAL tapes I'd like to capture from, can US version DV500 capture from PAL sources (even its advertised it supports only NTSC, but that just might be a marketting ploy)

Thanks for your advise .Format PAL or NTSC I can capture it with no problem because I can setting in Premier. But format NTSC 4.43 I cannot do these . Help me please

NTSC at 4.43 is not really a standard, it's called Quazi-PAL. It's a feature on some PAL players that makes them able to play NTSC video tapes on some PAL TV sets. However, you cannot record this mixed format, the same goes for capture unless you have full control over the scan rate, color carier, and color system.
