Hey what is the difference between the
    Nimo Lite pack and the
    Nimo v5 build 8?

I have problem viewing MP2v movies + some more, is this what i need?

  2. Well, i recommend the Normal nimo pack, not the lite one, cuz lots of codecs are missing in the lite pack...

Yeah, if you install the pack it should work, but you have to be sure you have selected the MPEG2 codecs huh

To play .mp2v files, you must have a software or hardware DVD decoder
    installed on your computer

  6. Is there spyware in the normal one...

Also I just reformatted my computer after a really nasty virus that I managed to get rid of after painstaking healing...my baby is back..[KISSES THE MONITOR]...last time I had installed a whole bunch of codecs and apparently they caused conflicts ..movies would sometimes play jerky..syncing problems...etc.I have a 3 year old system..windows 98...450MHZ...20GIG..sooo I was wondering as to WHAT would be the best codec package...I really don't even watch the movies on my computer..but I really would like to check them..to see if they have any problems or not....converting is not a problem...

    I have the following codecs...

    Nimo Codecs Package 5.0
    Ace Mega Codecs
    Krytal Studios Codec
    Angel Potion
    DivX Bundle 5.0

which one to choose...soo many choices....

    DivX 5.02 - http://www.divx.com/divx/

    DivX 3.11 - http://www.divx-digest.com/software/divxcodec.html (Like I said, I didn't need this to play DivX 3 files, just DivX 5)

Mpeg2 - http://www.elecard.com/products/mpeg2decoder.shtml (If you don't have a hardware MPEG2 decoder and if you don't have or don't want to use PowerDVD or WinDVD)

    Xvid codec - http://www.divx-digest.com/software/xvid.html

    DivXerouS,
Do yourself a favor and get rid of the Angel Potion codec. It causes more problems than it solves.
    Warning! I'm baaaaaaaaack

All I installed was the Nimo build 5 something something 8 and I picked
and choose what to load/not load. I just had to rebuild my system
also from a "Power Supply That Killed My Hard Drive". It almost
killed my new HD but I caught the problem in time.

Anyways, That is all I installed. Everything appears to be running
ok so far. I have not encoded anything yet as I "just" got done
rebuilding it. I'll be enocding sometime this week.

    GoodLuck!

  13. If all you are doing is watching videos not creating videos, I would use ffdshow instead of some codec package. I think you would need to download a couple of other codecs but ffdshow show do most videos.
