  3. Hi,

As for the subtitle part, i don't know either.
The Dual audio track, i do know. I tried this for myself on Chicken Run and works great.
What you do is encode your video to a SVCD compiant video file, and do the same with your 2 audio files.
You can do this using TMPGenc by using the SVCD template, unlock it with the unlock template in the extra folder of the templates, and change to file to to video/audio only.
Now go to the MPEG tools and multiplex the 3 files together and burn them using Nero. Voilá a multi audiotrack SVCD.

Just a tip, the MPG2 file wil always play only the first audio track on any PC software player. Even the DVD programs. I have no clue why, but when i burned the file it worked great in my stand alone.

TMPGenc, bbmpeg, and I-Author's multiplexor will all multiplex 2 audio tracks into your mpeg2 file. To switch between the two languages hit the audio button on your remote. (possibly might be named differently depending on your player.)

As far as I know the only way to use soft encoded subs in your svcds is with I-Author's multiplexor. If you get your hands on the program its pretty self explanatory. Most subtitle programs will let you save your subs in I-Author format, then just load them into the multiplexor in the order you want along with your audio and video. Just use the subtitle button on your remote to select between the different subs. There is no way to select subs or audio tracks via a menu like with a dvd, you must use your remote to toggle between them.

  6. Dvd2svcd supports 2 audio tracks and subtitles but your player has to support svcd subtitles that you can turn on or off. I would check your dvd player on this forum to see if it does.

    Thanks a lot anyone!
My dvd player is a pioneer dv-525.
I-author seems to be too much expensive...I'going to look for a free software or i'll try to write an I-Author clone by myself.
    Free software rulez!
