  4. If you weren't a "noob" then you would have used the "Search" function and found the following under the "User Guides"...

If you have been a member of this forum for two months, that makes you a newbie to it. And the fact you neglected to read the newbie guides, is a rookie error, that raises other issues, just my opinion, mind you.

  9. I read that guide, but was not sure if it place the audio tracks in the CDDA folder

  10. If you read that guide, you wouldn't have posted the question you did would you??

Furthermore, if you did a little bit of searching, the answers for all these questions would become obvious.

No, this method does not put a link under the CDDA folder as it is a type of hack. However for:
i just wanna know how to make a vcd with extra audio tracks that will work in a cd-player
    ... it definitely works.

If you want to make a VCD with CD-DA tracks that is fully compliant, you will have to use Video-CD 2.0 Toolkit 1.0.

  11. what i was wondering is if i could manually put the audio files in the folder my self

  12. I believe vcdimager (vcdeasy etc) can put the data files in any directory but it will NOT write compliant CDDA tracks and point them into that directory. Michael is right, you'll need the toolkit to make the type of disc you want.
Panasonic DMR-ES45VS, keep those discs a burnin'

  13. so what your saying if i use a program like nero and put the .wav files in the cdda folder it won't work on a cd player

  14. That is right. You can use your PC to play the WAV files in that directory but put that disc in a standalone audio CD player and who knows what sqeeling will come out.

  15. I was wondering in a compliant vcd with cd-da tracks would it skip over ther data tracks? If so is it a file in the "vcd" folder that makes it do that and is there a way to minipulate it so it does go to the foulder .

  16. vcd+cdda yes you can
i never done but is something like this (see this somewere)

create the image of the cd (vcd easy) - donīt burn
then using cdrwin and the "template" cd extra add your image and the tacks (cdaudio) and burn
for more details i have to search my archives
    this is not my idea

    No.

It will depend on your CD player. This is the same situation with mixed mode discs (with data as track 1 and audio in later tracks).

Some players will play the data tracks as silence.

Some players will skip the data tracks and play at the first audio track.

Some players will play the data tracks as an awful digital data screech that will damage your speakers!

There is nothing you can put in the filesystem that will change this.

@ 2man: to make a VCD with CD-DA tracks, follow the link up this thread. BTW, you cannot make a CD-Extra VCD.
