What VCD/SVCD software would you recommend ?

I posted this question a few days ago and it appears that it is missing. I'm reposting it again. If this is the wrong place, please let me know.

I'm new in creating VCD/XVCD. I'm currenting using a LG 32x/10x/40x CD-RW and it comes with Easy Creator 5 basic. I'm thinking to upgrade it to deluxe version which includes feature to create VCD. I also know that there are some other products or shareware out there.

Can someone please recommend me what to use for a beginner ? Is Easy Creator a good product to use or I should buy other software ? If so, what will you recommend ? Will the VCD/SVCD will be able to play on any DVD player ?

I plan to create home movies which were taped from earlier (8 years old) camcorder and recent digital camcorder.

Your recommendation is greatly appreciated.

I would take a look at DVD Movie Factory. It can encode, and burn, VCD, SCVD, XSVCD and DVD discs. It also creates better Menus than EZ CD Creator or Nero.
