Problems Authoring/Burning with Ulead Movie Factory

Have been burning SVCD and VCD cd's for some time with Nero. Having bought a Sony DRU-120A I'm trying to burn to DVD. Downloaded the trial DVD from this site, burned with Nero and it played fine on my DVD player. I've gone through the tutorial for Movie Factoryand everything seems fine in the inbuilt trial player but when I burn the DVD and try it in my DVD player and PC, the movie starts and plays but I don't get the menu to show at all. Am I going wrong somewhere?

Uhmmm...

Right after the menu creation phase, the next step shows a “TV and Remote”. If you hit play on the remote at this point, does the menu you created show up? If not, something is wrong… hit the back button and try again.

thanks for the prompt reply. Yes, the menu shows up fine, the problem only starts once I've burned the DVD.

Gave the update a try but now find the whole thing hangs at the playback simulation stage. Have unistalled and reinstalled all with same result.

You’re running XP Pro… Great… Uninstall the app, and then run System Restore to the point b4 you installed it… Then re-install… Things should clear up…
