I use TMPGEnc (version beta 12a) to code some DivX videos to MPEG-1 (NTSC Video-CD template) in order to burn VCDs with TSCV (version 0.84 beta rel.2, build 4783).
The problem is that after creating the cue/bin files, TSCV's log window always shows me many warnings like these ones:

"APS' pts seems out of order (actual pts 116.189144, last seen pts 116.222511)"

    and

"unknown user data tag id 0x65 encountered"

The last time I produced a 73-min MPEG video, TSCV's "create cue/bin" added up to 100 MB (!) of zeros to the file in order to "correct" all those problems. Result: the CD capacity (74 min) was exceeded...

Why is TMPGEnc producing MPG files with such errors?

    Thanks for any help...

If your Nimo Lite Codecs are loaded, why are you using such an old TMPGEnc?
    Hello.

  3. APS errors dont' matter. They won't really affect anything except for a handful of potential entrypoint placements throughout your MPEG.

However, if you MPEG is "bloating" in size due to autopadding, it means that your MPEG is not muxed correctly. I'm a bit perplexed as to why that would happen if you REALLY put TMPGEnc onto a VCD template. My only suggestion is that perhaps you actually made an error somewhere (or did you cut the MPEG but left TMPGEnc on "Auto"?).

To stop the autopadding, you will have to remux your MPEG. You can do so with TMPGEnc --> MPEG Tools --> Simple Multiplex. Make sure you change the setting to "MPEG-1 Video-CD".

    Regards.

    Vitualis:

You're right. Remuxing the MPEG solved the problem.

    Thanks!

I've downloaded and installed the lastest TMPGEnc version now...
