I have recently upgraded to Nero %.%.3.5 and see it has the SVCD option on it. However I understand from their site I need to download a further bit of software as it is not in the upgrade package.
Please can anyone tell me where to get this software, as I am very keen to see whether SVCD's will play on my DVD player.
Cheers
Macca

SVCD had been an option since quite some time now. What you mean is the extra encoding facility as with VCD. Ahead have said for some time now that it will be ready for purchase in August 2001. With only 10 days to go, they probably won't keep to their original statement.
Anyhow, why bother paying for this extra when you can do it for free with all the software on this site? (Tools section). You can encode your avi's, mov's etc. into SVCD format and still burn it with Nero. -
Thanks for your reply, looks if I want to use Nreo I will have to wait along with the rest of you!!
What encoder software (from the tools section) would you recomed to convert VCD to SVCD (ie easy to use). -
If you want to encode VCD's or SVCD's I would personally recommend you tryout TMPGEnc.
