When I am burning an avi or ripping a DVD my CPU alarm goes off and the system becomes very hot. Do I need to change something in the setting's as I have to at the moment have my own fan going into the system to try and cool it down whilst burning.
This does not happen whilst I am on the net, or burning other stuff.
Cheers

What kind of cooling setup do you have? What's the outside temp? I'd check your heatsink and fan, and maybe think about getting a newer/bigger/better one...

Thanks, I thought it may have been the power supply at first, because it was only 230W and 14A so I brought a new one 300W and 15A so it would run more power into the system.
I will check the CPU fan and let you know.
