I captured from DV (Firewire) - converted avi to MPEG-1 using TPMGEnc - Then followed The KingJohn My 1st VCD guide using NERO, added the AUTORUN.INF file. to burn to VCD.

My Pioneer DV-414 Plaver just ejects the disc, even though it supports VCD.

My DVD-ROM drive in my Thinkpad just spins and makes wierd noises and locks up my Explorer Window.

What did I do wrong?

I have seen (in this forum) incompatability issues for HW, SW, even the color of the disks. Is VCD a standard or is it primarily for people who have the time to figure out what's right for their situation? Sorry, I am getting a little frustrated.
