  1. Hi

    First problem:
When trying to create chapters and menu with Ulead Moviefactory, in an MPEG2 encoded movie - encoded w. TMPGenc (SVCD) VBR - Moviefactory states that its vcdengine is not copmpatile with the file. Moviefactory is the demoversion. Can anything be done about this?

    Second problem:
When creating chapter and menu with Ulead Moviefactory, in an MPEG2 encoded movie - encoded w. TMPGenc (SVCD) CBR movie (23.97 FPS) - moviefactory states that there are chapters at frames beyond end of file. Moviefactory is demoversion. As far as I understand, when encoding as NTSC movie, TMPGenc uses internal 23.97 FPS and external 29.976 FPS (or vice versa). Can this cause a discrepancy in some header information (framecount or something like that) and the actual numbner of frames? If so can it be remedied in any way, some repair program, hex editing or whatever?

I have tried a number of programs (demos) for creating menus and chapters, but havent found any that actually works with TMPGenc encoded mpeg2 files. Is there any easy (visual) tool that will help do that - when target is SVCD. Will I have to do CBR and refrain from VBR - or do I need another MPEG encoder.

    Thx

ULEAD tools love (mostly) only mpegs made by their own tools.Have you tried to create the mpeg with the MF?

  3. Hi

No I haven't tried MF (haven't really considered - but will do).
I do like TMPGenc a lot though - due to the quality.

Are there anyone out there who can give examples of tools working together with TMPGenc or point me to another MPEG2 encoder that will give me similar quality and control (don't mind if its spedier ).

    Regards
