Hi,
I just ordered the Pioneer DVR A04 DVD burner, and would like to know which brand disks everyone likes best, as far as being error free and most compatible with standalone DVD systems. I'm not looking to rip movies, I just want to get my home movies (assembled with Premiere and TMPGEnc) onto DVD-Rs and have them work in all my family's players.
Thanks in Advance,
VaBank.

it depends mostly on the player. the a04 will take almost anything, but players seem to be very picky.
so look up your specific players on the database and check the comments for which brands of dvd-r work best with your player. the a04 is largely irrelevant. -
As has been mentioned the A04 will successfully burn about any media. The problem is that not all desktop players will play DVD-R's. To further confuse matters it has been my experience that only about 1/3 of the desktop players that play ripped DVD's successfully on a given media will play DVD-R's encoded and authored from home movies using the same media.
