Hi, let me explain what I'm trying to do.
I want to rip a DVD from my desktop pc (that has a DVD-ROM player), move the files to the HD of my laptop, connect the s-video output of my laptop to the living rooom TV-set, play the ripped DVD on the TV.
I supposed that using smartripper and either WinDVD or PowerDVD could work, but I was wrong.
The ripping is fine, but WinDVD says the folder content is no DVD and powerDVD just says nothing.
Any piece of advice? Thanks

Very easy to do. Follow these steps:
Use DVDDecrypter to copy the "main movie" files to your HD
It will be in a folder called \movietitle\Video_TS\ (or you can change it)
Copy to your laptop, you'll need all the files not just the VOB files
Open PowerDVD 4.0 and select to play DVD Files from HD
Select the VIDEO_TS.ifo file.
In a few seconds power DVD will play the movie.
* for a smaller file, and ease of use, use IFOEdit to strip out everything but the movie and one soundtrack. -
Thanks for the previous reply, however I still have a question to bother you with: what software shall I use to do the dvd decrypt?
Thanks again and best regards
