  1. Need help playing tft files can someone help me with this problem. I checked the properties of this file and it shows it is a Dos-AVI file. I am running windows 98 SE. I have tried opening the file with windows media player and real player. I get a black screen and no audio or video. But it shows the time of the file and the play bar moves as though it is playing the file. I have installed the Nimo 5.0 Build 5 codes.

    Thank You,
    Vacman

I think the better question is what is an tft file? I've never heard of it, at least not on the Windows platform. Is this some file format associated with the MAC or Linux OS's? If so you might be better served by posting this in either of those forums.

    vacman37,
Hmmm??? Edited your original post eh? None-the-less that's not a file format native to the Windows OS and I've been banging away since the good old days of 3.1 and when 14.4k modems were considered broadband.

If you have the correct codec's then chances are you have downloaded a "Fake"

Load the AVI into Vdub and select file > file information this should tell you what is being used. If Vdub does not complain about unsupported then it sounds like a fake.
