  1. I havent seen this subject yet, I would like to have a brand of DVD-R that would be reliable.
I have a Pioneer-A03 I have used Verbatin Datalife with no problem but I would like to move to a cheaper brand.

What are your expirences? I have found http://www.meritline.com/dvdrblankmedia.html that sells cheap DVD-R and DVD-RW.

Will this DVD-R and DVD-RW work on Playstation 2 and X-BOX?

Should I buy DVD-RW only? they have it as low as 2.98
Or DVD-R? they have it as low as 1.98

Please This is not a marketing post, I dont leave in the US and I have to wait at least 1 week for every 2 day delivery I make and its very frustrating when I dont receive what I need.

I have a Daewoo 3000N and I have a Playstation 2, in the future I would like to buy an X-Box.

Thanks a lot this forum have been a lot of help. :P 8)

  2. I buy both the standard and "pro" media at
www.cd-dvd-supplies.com. Both work fine in my Apex 3201 and my Pioneer 333.

For 1.99 and 2.99, they're tough to beat.

  3. I purchased my DVD-R media from http://www.cd-recordable.com/. They have both single and double sided disks. They are a manufacturer who sells to the public. Single sided disks are $1.99 for 25 disks and you get 2 free double sided disks for less than $50.00. Check it out. I burned my first disks last weekend with no problems using the Pioneer DVR-103.

    Hope this helps.

MERITLINE WORKS GREAT ON PIONEER DVD-R. NO EXPERIENCE
    WITH THE XBOX OR PLAYSTATION

  5. Meriline discs work great on PS2! but through my own trial and error, the software you burning from really determines if it will play on PS2. meritline is the best i've used, no pixelations or stoppage. I used the discs from cd-recordable.com about 2 months ago and had a lot of pixels and stoppage when playing in my player. Have they improved their discs? I did like the fact that I would select ground shipping and would get them the next day!!! i guess because they are located on the east coast, Philly. unlike meritline who are in CA.

  7. Thaks so much for the information.

    I read that X-Box Doent Play DVD-R just DVD-RW.

I havent been able to test it.

    There DVD-RW Brand DVDPRO-47DVDRW sells for 2.98

As I said it before What I have right now is a Playstation 2 and DVD Daewoo 3000N.

I could use the meritline DVD-R for Data BackUp and the DVD-RW for Video.

Can Someone tell me if the DVD-RW can be played back on Playstation 2?
