  1. Greetings! So, I'm using Toast on a G4 Mac, and burning to Memorex CD-RW silver media (the very kind mentioned in the "reply" section for this player, part number 3202 3125). Except: No go. My computers see the VCD fine, the Samsung says it cannot play the disc.

The only thing I can imagine is that this is because the CD-RW has been written to and erased many times before (maybe half a dozen times). Does this "ruin" the CD-RW as far as DVD player playback goes? Must all media be 100% previously untouched in order for the M101 to read it?

    Thanks for any help!

  2. Also, I'm burning the VCD at 2X.

Does anybody know if using "virgin" CDRW media makes a difference with ANY of these DVD players where such stuff isn't officially supported? Thanks again...I'm really trying to avoid dumping movies to VHS...but it may be I have to....

  3. Hi,

I also own a Samsum M101, as far as I know, that model does not read cd-rw's correctly, it does however read vcd/svcds (I tried both myself).

  4. Thanks yqiang. I've played several store-bought VCDs as well. Have you burned your own VCDs onto CDR? Or CDRW? If so can you tell me exactly what brand of media you used? Thanks!
