Greetings! So, I'm using Toast on a G4 Mac, and burning to Memorex CD-RW silver media (the very kind mentioned in the "reply" section for this player, part number 3202 3125). Except: No go. My computers see the VCD fine, the Samsung says it cannot play the disc.
The only thing I can imagine is that this is because the CD-RW has been written to and erased many times before (maybe half a dozen times). Does this "ruin" the CD-RW as far as DVD player playback goes? Must all media be 100% previously untouched in order for the M101 to read it?
Thanks for any help!

Also, I'm burning the VCD at 2X.
Does anybody know if using "virgin" CDRW media makes a difference with ANY of these DVD players where such stuff isn't officially supported? Thanks again...I'm really trying to avoid dumping movies to VHS...but it may be I have to.... -
Hi,
I also own a Samsum M101, as far as I know, that model does not read cd-rw's correctly, it does however read vcd/svcds (I tried both myself).

Thanks yqiang. I've played several store-bought VCDs as well. Have you burned your own VCDs onto CDR? Or CDRW? If so can you tell me exactly what brand of media you used? Thanks!
