Having recently installed this card into my P4 2.53GHz system (512Mb RAM), I have found that the video capture quality from my VCR is TERRIBLE. I need to capture some VHS tapes and wanted to get better quality than I got with my Hauppage TV tuner card, so I bought the Ti4200 card assuming that it would do a better job.
The preview window in Virtualdub and WinProducer both display a perfect image until I hit the capture button - after that, the image turns fuzzy - like a TV with bad reception.
I have tried various versions of WDM drivers from 1.11 to 1.19 (?) and have ensured that the videostandard is set to PAL (Australia) - this sorted out some colour issues, but the capture quality is shocking.
The video input to the card is via an svideo connector into which I plug an svideo to RCA converter as my VCR only has RCA connectors.
I've tried every combination for every setting in both WinProducer and VirtualDub, none of which make any difference to the quality of the captured AVI or MPEG image.
Has anyone had good results capturing using this card?
