Which program allows me to make a VCD full of a SLIDE SHOW and AUDIO in one. I know Adobe Premeire 5.1LE can do this (which I have). But for some reason when I import an image it always STRETCHES it to full screen....how do I make it so the image is displayed at its actual SIZE with space LEFT over like it suppose to.
For example if a pic is 200x200, then the rest of the space should be empty (whatever the total resolution is 640x480?).
What program can I use that gives me versatility and allows me to write my own captions AROUND my pictures (while being able to play audio?). Anyone know of any?

Played around a bit with Ulead Video Studio, and that app seems to be able to do the tricks you're looking for. Trial version available...

Is it possible to make a slide show of JPEG IMAGES though with this program? The description doesn't say it neccasarily does.....
My goal is to have a slide show VCD with music alongside and captions and comments next to each picture....
How can I do this?
Does Adobe Premeire 5.1LE do the trick?
It does well from what I tried so far, but it always displays the image and stretches it to FULL VIDEO size, which I DO NOT WANT. How can I make it so it displays only partially of the picture so the pic doesn't look STRETCHED and with messed up resolution? The reason being I want the pics to look clearer and have captions and text around the pic (with backgrounds)
Any have any ideas? -
How about editing the images with an IMAGE EDITING program (like Paint Shop Pro) and pasting your tiny images into a full size image and adding the text there?
Premiere and Ulead are both video editing programs.

I've been playing with slideshows. My experience with video editing programs that render the jpegs to mpg is that the quality of the images on the sceen suck. You'll get the best quality using WinOnCD 3.8 or higher or Ulead's DVD Pictureshow. The Ulead product is a little more polished in terms of menus. What you need to do is to prepare each image and caption in a graphics editing program like photoshop, sized to match your final output. (I think 702x480 for either DVD or VCD NTSC), ie, your original image is pasted into the middle of a black 702x480 image, and you add your caption). Then import those into whatever you use to create the slideshow.

And by usiing these programs, they still come out like crap quality wise on screen?

Hands down the best quality photo cd software is Ulead DVD PictureShow,
it will even play on most pc vcd players(though the photos are slightly blurry).Do like vitualis said and paste your 200x200 photo on a 4:3(I use Microsucks Picture It!)background adding your text(I use Arcsoft PhotoStudio 2000)........Voila!
