Just installed Windows XP Pro... i have a Gforce Mx420 card
When I watch movies now through my dvd drive the picture is full screen on my TV, while being wide-screen on my PC.
This Distorts the picture on my TV. People look all skinny and stuff, its pretty funny, but really its unbareable after 10mins of watching. Ive tried resizing but it only resizes the PC output, not my TV. Ive also tried using other media players besides WindowsMedia like Radlight and ThePlaya but no luckPlease help!!

Every problem I had with XP was solved with a new driver. I suggest you look for an XP driver for either your video card or your DVD drive
Not only am I perfect but I'm Canadian too! -
I have all updated drivers for XP , still no luck fixing this problem argh...

You should also try a different software video player. I like WinDVD allthough you (theoretically
have to buy it. Also some of my (free) favorites are:
Twins video player: http://www.twins-software.com/
Zoom Player: http://www.inmatrix.com/files/zoomplayer_download.shtml
Just try each one, process of elimination-like.

Well, the only thing I can think of is that it is indeed a driver-related problem. I would try a few older drivers if you can dig them up and see what happens.
What OS were you using before XP? Was the TV-out ok with this OS?
