Cheap way: Do not do anything while burning. Close all programs that aren't needed.

Expensive way: Buy a new burner with buffer underrun protection

use rw discs until you get it right, THEN use a cdr for the final and just copy from the rw.

    Andy

I have one rw that I have used a couple hundred times and it has saved me countless discs.

Since the burner part of VCDeasy is CDRDAO you may want to go out and get the latest copy and try installing that into your VCDEasy directory. You can also do a search on <your cd-rw drive> + cdrdao to see if other are having similar problems.

If you still are having trouble I suggest posting the log to either a new thread, or the VCDEasy help forums ( i assume they have them somewhere ).

    Speed may be your problem:

I have had 2x burner for years and recently upgraded to a 24x burner with underrun protected.

My system is a running WINXP with an Athlon 1100 CPU and moderatly fast hard drives but there are limitations.

I have tried several burn speeds (all successful but only because of the underrun protection) and found the following:
    - At 24x - nero reported 71 underruns.
    - At 20x - 5 underruns.
    - At 16x - 0 underruns.

The conclusion is that my system cannot stream data fast enough to keep up with the burner demands over 16x.

If you can - try slowing the burn speed.
