I've discovered the joys of 2-pass VBR (I'm a newbie who has been using CBR 8000 for the last 2 months), so I'm going to reencode my project for about a quarter of the hard drive space.
My question is that I've noticed on Rui's guide for High Quality compliant DVDs (which I think is great) he suggests setting the encode to "Interlace" on the first tab because that's what video is. Film is "Non-Interlace."
I've been using "Non-Interlace" because I've always read that a progressive picture was better than an interlaced one. MyDVD hasn't had a problem with it.
But occasionally during fast action, my frames will look like I'm looking through venetian blinds (just for a frame or two.)
So what's the best setting, Interlace or Non-Interlace?
