    I have imac G3, I cannot find mac dvd authoring software for G3s just G4s. Does anyone know where I can find or where to look?

    iDVD and DVD Studio Pro works on both G3's and G4's but iDVD stubbornly requires a SuperDrive, while DVD Studio Pro does not. DVD Studio Pro's Preview feature doesnt play audio back in sync with video on a less powerful G3 (although the final burned DVD will 99% of the time have the audio sync well done), but does brilliantly on a G4.

    Of course, both of those software titles are available at (some) cost. I don't know of any freeware DVD authoring options for the Macintosh platform. If you're looking to sample DVDSP, theres a worldwide network of "friends" who may be available to help you out.
