Little by little I'm getting closer, but I'm still not there.
I have a DV camera with some home videos that I'd like to play on my DVD (which reads CDR/CDRW).
I've captured my first video (37 minutes) which came out to about 14 gig (3 parts - captured seamlessly) using Ulead 5.0. I had a hard time converting it to VCD, so I opened it with my MGI Videowave III. I tried saving it as VCD but also without luck.
Yesterday I downloaded Nero 5.0 (trial version). Taking the mpg file from my hard-drive (the one which was created with my VCD attempt using MGI), I opened and burned with Nero as a VCD (making it VCD twice?). When I first tried it on my DVD I was excited to finally see video & audio (and it was all in sync).
I have several family members who want copies so I dubbed from DVD to VHS. I was excited. When I checked on the dubbing about 1/2 through, I found that the audio sync had gradually (but very noticebly) gone out of sync.
What did I do wrong?
