    just bought myself a pioneer 104
    and have been stumped to find out i can not duplicate
    my own films on dvd as they ara bigger than 4.7 gig

    if i'd had kown that, then i would not have bothered buying the unit

    any hints tips etc. would be appeciated

    please someone help point me in the write direction

    what other use can i make of this dvd writer

    Easy dude, hand the DVD writer over to me. I'm too much of a newie to help much. You got films over 4.7 GB? Damn. Is there any way you could split them up into 2 or 3 different DVDs? I don't know, just trying suggest anything

    are you talking about backing up movies on DVD, or are you talking about putting your home movies onto DVD?

    Either way, you can do both with your 104, no matter what the size, you will just need to either rip and re-encode, or cut up the home movies.
