VCD - DVD Player says NO DISC

Hi, im kind of new at this, i've tried several tiems to burn a mpg to vcd and play it on my dvd player with Nero but it wont recognize the disc. THe dvd player does support VCD (sony 360). Could somebody please give me a step by step direction on how to make these movies play on my dvd player. Thank You.

You should test the VCD you made in your CD Drive before you start looking at causes. If the *.dat file in the MPEGAV directory is playable on your PC then its probably your DVD Player not being able to read the CD-R(W) colour layer. If you check in the DVD Player compatibility list you will see which CD-R's or CD-RW's your player will read. It's also advisable to read comments from other users, as they will usually list brands of media that they have either good or bad experiences with.
