Ok. I'm trying to convert AVI 2 SVCD. I'm ripping the audio to WAV first with virualdub, then using tmpgenc to encode both video & audio file.
When it is finished encoding the audio is anywhere from 1-5 seconds delayed either way. This has happened with 3 different files. What am i doing wrong...any ideas? Thanks for the help

Click "how to edit" (over on the left), several audio synch guides there
As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war." -
is there anyway to encode to there is no sync problems? this has happened with 4 different files now. it just doesn't make sense to me?

Have you tried to load the AVI file directly into TMPGEnc for both audio and video? I usually try this first before performing an extraction using Virtualdub. I usually just encode 3-5 minutes to see if the encoding will work as a test run.
