  1. I'm using ezcd creater 5's vcd wizard to arrange my start sequence, menu, etc...
the start sequence is 352x240 (1150 k/s cbr)
    menu is 704x640 (1150 cbr)
    film is 352x240 (1150 k/s cbr)
start sequence is fine but the menu just won't play at all.
I'm thinking that its my dvd player can't handle 704x480 vcd res, but nero's menu's are 704x480 and they play fine.
so what am i doing wong?
    bitrate?
    thx

  2. My DVD player wont play menus made using EZCD either, i think it could be something wrong with the program itself, although i wouldn't stake my life on it. Has anyone else had problems with VCD's made with EZ CD creator?

  3. I think that EZCD can only do VCD 352x240 motion menu MPEGs. 704x480 is the resolution of hi-res MPEG stills that can be used in Nero or TSCV/VCDimager as a menu.

If you must burn with EZCD, reencode your menu as a standard motion MPEG. If you like what you've got reencode your still as 704x480 and use TSCV or maybe VCDeasy (see tools section, this site). Freeware and much more powerful than EZCD (I have it so I know - Roxio is milking their crippled software, may someday have something approaching 1999 technology in 2003)
