do u guys have problems with nero? what other programs...

lately my nero 5580 is messing up big time. it cant burn anything. it''ll give me a WRITE ERROR or a BUFFER ERROR. anyone have any idea why this is happening? also, what other programs are good for burning VCD, and SVCD, that allows non compliant VCDs, and allows overburn? thanks

i have 5578 and never have a problem although i only have a 8x burner try not having any apps runnin while burning

Why not trying nero 5.5.9.0?
It works fine for me.

You sure it's nero and not your burner thats causing the problem, see the how to author section for other software capable of burning VCD. If you still have problems, perhaps your burner is on its last legs.

You could try "WinOnCD". It's from Roxio and much better than Nero (the former "VideoPack" is included in versions 3.8 and up)

The versions of WinOnCD I have tried (3.7 & 3.8 PE) have been very strict about VCD/SVCD compliance.

Why don't you just try VCDEasy, it can do all of this (and more) and is freeware.

Have you by any chance installed other cr-writing software lately? Nero is known for having problems with EasyCD Creator/WinOnCD. I would uninstall all CD writing software and then reinstall Nero (and nothing else).
If it works after this, you can install VCDEasy (no problems with Nero)
