I got a Ati tv wonder VE a few days ago and I have been having problems getting it to work properly. I installed it with the newest drivers available on the ati site. I installed MMC 7.6. However, when i open the tv viewer it freezes my computer when the splash screen comes up. So i d/l the windvr demo. The windvr demo works fine, however its only a demo so i can only cap 10 minutes...I then tried virtual dub. In VD i can capture video but no sound...i tried every possible configuration butstill no sound. The same goes for virtual vcr, AVI_IO and several other similar programs. The powervcr 2 demo wont work at all. It just gives me an error msg saying there is a problem with the .exe . Showshifter froze my computer when i tried to use it. So basically every program doesnt work for me except the windvr 2 demo...and i dont really want to buy that, i was hoping to be able to use a freeware program or mmc to capture. The programs fall into 3 categories:
1: The programs the make my computer freeze, ie: showshifter, mmc
2: The programs that only capture video but no sound, ie: VDub, virtual vcr, iuvcr, AVI_IO, etc...
3: the programs that dont work at all, ie: powervcr 2
I am running windows xp pro with all drivers updated. Does anybody have any suggestions? Solutions? This is starting to get very frustrating![]()
