  1. Hello all, I recently obtained a DivX with ac3 soundtrack which is very good audio/video quality. I have managed to convert teh ac3 track to normal mp2 format. My problem is that the resolution of the avi file is quite high, 640x352. I tried to maintain the resolution in my conversion using Tmpgenc but when burnt to CD and played on my Toshiba 220 the video was all scrambled. Do I have to abide by a certain resolution for XSVCD? I dont want to be limited to 480x480.
    Thanks
    Allan

Yes (X)SVCD requires the use of 480x480 or 720x480. I would use 480x480,the pixel count is the same as your 640x352. 720x480 probably would not be improved but reqiures no larger file size.

Use 480 x 480, and then under your aspect ratio properties, set it to 1:1 VGA, as well as the first Keep Aspect Ratio choice
