I'm trying to import a song from a cd into premiere. Does anyone know why I cant read my cd in premiere? Do I have to convert the song to another format?

Often people fall short, not because they have tried and failed, but because the fear of failure kept them from trying at all

You can't import CD audio directly into Premiere. You'll need to convert the track to a .wav file first. (I assume you're using a Windows PC?)
Try www.goldwave.com
Great program for CD ripping.

The only machine I am aware of which can directly import a song from CD into premiere is the Apple Macintosh. On the PC you have to use a bit of external software. Track down a piece of freeware software called Exact Audio Copy and use this as it can download track lists from the internet.
