    Would it be possible to capture the movie with the sound set to channel 2 (that's where the digital track is) and encode it onto vcd and the receiver picks it up as a digital signal? I would try to install a ac-3 upgrade on my player to it very hard to do.

    you would need some sort of digital input on your pc wouldn't you?

    or something to actuate the digital signal into analog audio, and then capture it that way eh?
