copy problem with nero

first time copying a vcd using nero copy. The result is in black and white? Any idea what went wrong?

Does the original play in colour ok. Does it play in black and white on your pc as well as in your dvd player. You need to be a bit more specific about the problem, but with the limited information you have given, and assuming it is black and white on your DVD player but ok on your PC, I would guess that its a format issue. You are trying to play PAL on an NTSC system which is not capable of playing it correctly, or visa versa. In which case you would have to change the format by reencoding. However if it plays in black and white on your PC also, then this is not the problem.

Yes the original plays ok. The copy is black and white on the pc

Copy the file in the mpeg directory of the CD to your hardisk and Nero to burn a new VCD using the file. Or use CDRWin 4.0 to create a bin/cue image of the disc and use that to burn as many copies as you need.
