I have an old ATI TV Tuner card and want to use the Sony MiniDV instead as the source.
For the life of me, I can't figure out how to change the source from the cap card to the cam...
Could someone help me out here?
Also, I vaugely recall something about using a particular DV driver as well...and recomendations or am I remembering incorrectly?
I am using WinXP, by the way...
Thanks In Advance...

If you have a DV Cam you should be 'capturing' via a firewire card. In this case vdub cannot help.
In fact you don't actually capture from a DV cam, you copy the data stream to your PC and it is stored as an AVI file.
As you are using XP you have MS MovieMaker, this will capture via firewire for you, just be sure to set the quality setting to DV (PAL or NTSC) -
So how did you do it? I've never managed to make Virtualdub work with my Sony miniDV camcorder.
