  1. ok from what i've read it seems that the errors people are having in burning viewable vcds comes from not encoding the mpeg file correctly. i guess the questions that need to be answered are:
    1)depending on weither you do pal or ntsc what should be the frame rate?
    2)if the frame rate isn't "correct" for the pal/ntsc type will the vcd play?
    3)what should be the bit rate for a vcd film? a svcd film?
    4)is there a way to full proof test a mpeg file to see if it will burn correctly so as to be viewable?
    5)is there anything else thats neccessary that i haven't asked?

  3. You need 23.976 for film, 25 for pal and 29.97 for regular NTSC.
