  1. Hi there ,
    How can I put SVCD format into a DVD-R ?(I've a pioneer DVR-104) .
I tried with spruceup but it complains because the format is not a standard DVD .
The idea would be to put more than a movie into one media in SVCD .

    Can someone help ?

    Thanks
    Alessandro

  2. Use CVD. It is a full DVD standard rather than SVCD which is an oddball standard in its own right. The only way to get an SVCD file burnt as a DVD .vob file is to re-encode it.

If you mean you have existing SVCD files that you want to put on a DVD-R, try that.

That's a guide from this site that claims there's no re-encoding. I haven't tried it myself, as I don't have a DVD burner yet.

I don't know if that post will be of any help, now that I see you're already using spruceup.

    Sorry about that.

The best is to reencode to 352x480/576 to get standard dvds or else you can use svcd resolution but you will probably get playback problems on many dvd players. Try a dvd-svcd sample here www.vcdhelp.com/dvd#sample and read the guide that jerzybo posted how to add svcds in spruceup.
